From the “We’ll believe it when we see it department”: Jeremy Bonderman will develop a changeup this season.
“This year’s different for me,” (Bonderman) continued. “I actually like the way I’m throwing it. I feel comfortable throwing it. I feel like I can throw it for strikes, compared to other years, trying to find a grip and get it.” (MLB.com)
He says he’ll try to use it 15 times per regular game. It would really help him develop as a pitcher if he, you know, actually followed through this year.
Bonderman pitched three scoreless innings against the Rays Monday, allowed two hits and struck out two in his second spring start.

The Baseball Analysts recently looked at the top baseball players who are ages 24 or 25. Well, the Tigers didn’t have any 24 year olds make the list, but three 25ers made the top 15.
New Tiger Miguel Cabrera came in second, Justin Verlander seventh and Jeremy Bonderman 10th. And actually, today they looked at ballplayers ages 22 or 23. Obviously there were no Tigers, but former Tiger Andrew Miller did come in as the 11th best 22-year-old.

Spring Training 08 (photo by Roger Dewitt)
Roger Dewitt (Huey Taxi)’s Spring Training photos have been making the rounds on the net today, including the above. But take a look at the full size photo. Jeebus! Has Jeremy Bonderman been hitting the weights or what? He looks like he added some muscle in his upper body.
More photos can be seen at Huey’s Flickr site.
