About Mack Avenue Tigers

The mission of this blog is simple:

• Report a daily recording of what’s up with the Tigers and their division rivals.
• Give my personal analysis of games and statistics.
• Find answers to questions, my own and others.
• Look for other educated opinions on the Tigers, whether by fans or outsiders.

When I started the blog in April 2006, there were only two or three Tigers blogs I could even find on the Internet. I’ve experimented and made changes along the way, but I’ve always hoped to make this blog one of the first stops for a Tigers fan on the Internet. This blog appeared in Sports Illustrated’s baseball preview magazine in late March 2007 and can be found on SI.com’s Tigers page.

I did an interview on Grand Rapids radio in July, also. And another in August.

What about the name, you might ask? I was born at St. John’s Hospital on Mack Avenue and lived my early years in Detroit at Mack and Outer Drive in the East English Village. I wanted to honor that.
