Maybe it just doesn’t come up enough. Thursday is so frequently getawayday or on the road that I easily gloss over it. It just feels weird to play a day when you don’t have to, unless you’re the Cubs or something.

Eh, they always play Thursday day games. I don’t think this is the first time they’ve done it on a non-getaway day. Before every game was selling out, they actually seemed to draw better for Thursday day games than the typical Monday through Wednesday night games. I think that’s one of the reasons for playing the day games.
