    That game pretty much entirely summed up what’s wrong with the Tigers. Streaky, weak hitting — unclutch (or whatever the opposite of clutch) pitching — and a reckless closer. After watching that debacle, I think there’s a good chance that this is just a 70 win team — barring some bizarro trade for some desperate talent. Maybe it was the adult beverages I was enjoying during the game (oh about 8), but did every “change” by Leyland blow up in his face? I think none of it worked. If only we could have had Verlander throwing 92 MPH heaters in the bullpen (I think Morris is right — I predict JV is on the 60 day DL by July).

    Oh and did Grandy hurt his hand on that dive again? Oye. I think I started a “let’s go red wings” chant by the ninth.
