Well, we have little else to be happy about, may as well embrace the news Curtis Granderson’s hand “looks like a hand again,” according to the assistant athletic trainer as quoted by Granderson as passed on by Danny Knobler.
He can resume “baseball operations,” a fancy way of saying “play baseball.” Of course he’s not ready to step right into a big league game. He’ll have to get up to speed, swinging the bat and taking some defense. He starts work Monday. Hopefully the Tigers have a win by the time he can come back.

“He ignites your offense,” manager Jim Leyland said of Granderson. “I think Cleveland misses having [Victor] Martinez in there. I think the Mets will miss having Pedro Martinez in there. And the Tigers miss having Curtis Granderson in there.” (MLB.com quote)
