Just gonna concur with Cake on this one. If we signed Casey we wouldn't pursue a trade at first, I'm pretty sure.

And I would not trade Bonderman until 08 if Miller is ready to take his spot. Bonderman would be in his final year. And really, I have to think the Tigers picture Miller as filling the void left when Rogers' contract is over. Honestly, we can go around taking Bonderman for granted, but if you look at his indicator stats, this kid is one hell of a pitcher and those don't come around, just give him time to mature. I don't ever want to see him pitching against us in a game that matters.

Casey cant be traded. Hes a free agent. A starting rotation of Rogers, Bonderman, Verlander, Robertson, Maroth looks a lot better to me. Especially when you consider Roger has 1 year left.

Damn, I would love to see Texiera come to Detroit. Trade Bonderman and casey for him on his last year contract then resign him after 07' season. We would be such a powerhouse with him. Rotation, 1.Kenny Rogers 2.Verlander 3.Robertson 4. Miner 5. Moroth.
