Verlander wins one award…another to follow?
posted in 2006-07 offseason, awards |The Rookie of the Year Award is set for Monday and is voted on by the Baseball Writers Association.

I will be very dissapointed if Verlander does not win roty. Of the few guys that are deserving of this honor, he is the only one who played a full season at the major league level. He also played a very large role in helping the Tigers to reach the World Series. Hopefully, the writers will see it this way as well. Of course, I am biased.
I don’t think he’s a lock for ROY, but in my mind, he should be for the reasons you gave.
