I feel like I'm going to see Craig's lunge for that ball replayed forever in my head. He tried so hard, but in the end it was just a couple of inches too far away. When it glanced off the tip of his glove, I knew we were done for, I just couldn't get myself to verbalize it.

[...] • Mack Avenue Tigers. I’d like to say there’s some reason to be optimistic. But really, there’s not. I don’t know. Maybe I’m wrong. I hope I am. I just don’t see any reason to believe this is going to be a repeat of 1968 with three straight victories. Sure, anything is possible. But probable? No. [...]

You missed the right one to comment on by about two posts, but as I feel it's the most idiotic suggestion I've ever heard and I can't believe anyone other than the delusional Woody Hayes is putting it forward, I'll leave the comment right here. Even if this probably was just a hit-and-run.

[...] Mack Avenue Tigers: A Detroit Tigers Blog » World Series Game 4: No mas I’d like to say there’s some reason to be optimistic. But really, there’s not. The Cardinals just seem to be playing with much more poise, and the Tigers seem to have all but lost any of that cool poise we saw most of the season. I just don’t see them coming back to win the World Series from a 3-1 deficit and no poise. [...]
