Not that it would have been easy to turn down a head job with "Your" team. But he now has the stench of 2003, deserved or not, following him. Trammell needs a few years to go by to let the Tigers fiasco become a distant memory before he can even think about taking on another team. So taking the Cubbies gig is a good career move.
