A deserving winner

posted in Post-season, players |

Although you could make an argument for Magglio Ordonez if you so desired, Placido Polanco won the most valuable player trophy for the ALCS. He’s one of many key Tigers.

I don’t think you can make a comparable case between Maggs and Polanco.Placido batted .500!!! That in itself, is unbelievable.Beside that, the guy delivers hit after hit in timely situations and his defense is outstanding. Not to take away what Maggs did for this city and his team on Sat nite (AWESOME), but Palanco’s return to this team and the change in their performance is glaring. I can’t say enough about this guy’s team presence. (though I’ve probably said too much already) He is like mini-me he completes this team and is sooo deserving of any awards he receives.
