Game 144: Tigers give up the ghost

posted in Minnesota Twins, The Stretch Run |

Time to regroup against Texas and Baltimore, and be ready to hear the Tigers compared to the 1978 Red Sox. Detroit’s down 12-0. I’ll update with the final score. I’m digusted.

The final was 12-1. The team is going to win 90 games this year, probably 93-95. And it will be the worst feeling 90+ win season ever.

It’s amazing that the game wasn’t televised in the Detroit area. But considering how the game progessed, it turns out no TV was in everyone’s best interest.

I’m glad I didn’t watch today’s debacle. In fact, I’m thankful! As you said, it’s time to regroup, for both the fans and the Tigers.

God help us, I hope they regroup…

I’m sure they figured the Tigers would be playing like… well, they are now, only they’d be in fourth place, not first, so it wouldn’t matter.

Congrats the the Lions for looking infinitely better than the Packers look right now.

Can you imagine if someone’d told us at the start of the season that we’d have 90+ wins and be pissed about it? We’d have laughed in their faces…
